Raffel Prophett
President
Raffel Prophett co-founded Public Medical a non-profit that seeks to transform the public safety and community health systems. He is a retired Cincinnati Fire Department District Fire Chief. He is also a retired Army Reserves Lieutenant Colonel.
Raffel is proud to serve on the executive board of the MLK Coalition who mission is to promote the values of diversity and greater understanding by keeping the memory, ideals and philosophy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. alive through a commemorative program given each year in the City of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Eric Watford
Vice President
Eric Watford was born and raised in Springfield, Ohio. A graduate from Wilberforce University, he serves as Program Coordinator for the African American Cultural & Resource Center at University of Cincinnati. Eric is also the Choir Director for the African American Cultural & Resource Center Choir at University of Cincinnati, and serves as the Minister of Music at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Woodlawn, Ohio.
George Ten Eyck
Treasurer
Originally from Cincinnati, George Ten Eyck is the treasurer for the MLK Coalition and has been an at-large member since 2020. George believes in the values, philosophy, and vision of Dr. King's legacy and continues to work to advocate for racial, economic, and social justices in Cincinnati, the United States, and world. Professionally, he serves as an educator in the higher education field.
Dr. Martha Viehmann
Secretary
Martha Viehmann represents her Quaker Meeting, Eastern Hills Friends Meeting, on the Coalition's board, which she joined in 2010. Currently serving as secretary, Martha also compiles and edits the list of books and other resources for all ages related to Dr. King, the civil rights movement, and the promotion of quality information about the history and current state of race relations.
